BECOME A FOOD ASSEMBLY HOST A social & entrepreneurial adventure

The Food Assembly connects people to their local farmers and foodmakers. Each Food Assembly is run by a local organiser, who brings fresh, local produce to their community.

There are 70 Food Assemblies in the UK, bringing fresh food from local producers to over 25,000 people!

Why become a Food Assembly host?

I get to be part of a fairer food system
Getting a sense of community is really important to me
It is a hands-on project that fits around my family

WHO CAN BE A FOOD ASSEMBLY HOST?

Wherever you are,
whoever you are, being a Food Assembly host is a flexible activity that enables you to influence and strengthen ties in your local community.

Community building, marketing, networking, agricultural knowledge... you will learn to develop a whole new set of skills.

And you will not be by yourself, each Food Assembly host is supported by The Food Assembly team.

SET UP YOUR FOOD ASSEMBLY HOW DOES IT WORK?

  1. Launch your project
Register on foodassembly.com, or sign up below, to start a Food Assembly in your area, and we'll be in touch to guide and support you through the next steps.

  2. Grow your network
Find your local producers and customers from your area. Once your community is big enough, your Food Assembly is ready to open its doors!

  3. Launch the online market
Every week the host organises an online market where customers pre-order products offered by local food producers. Veg & fruit, meat, bread, eggs, and much more.

  4. Organise the collection
After the weekly online market, the host arranges a collection where members pick-up their food directly from local producers and meet their neighbours.
